The following document is an actual noise complaint that was filed against Colt Coal's Mach Mining Company. Colt Coal is the parent company of Hillsboro Energy, who is trying to place a longwall mine in Hillsboro, Illinois. The noise complaint is of particular interest to Hillsboro residents as the proposed placement of the mine is on the east side of town, across the RR tracks from the Hospital, Health Club, Clinics (2), Nursing Home and a Doctor's Office. The residents close to the mine in Schram City might also take note of what is to come.
